Aeroblaze Laboratory

A Ruby on Rails order-entry application for aerospace flammability testing, connecting a complex order form with project workflows, team communication, generated PDF documents, and parts and material lists.

Turning order details into lab workflows

The order form captures the information needed to organize aerospace flammability testing work. The application uses that input to connect order creation with the tools the laboratory relies on.

Our work

We built the Rails order application and its connected workflows. Orders create a custom series of Asana project steps based on user input, feed team communication in Slack, and populate parts and material lists in Google Sheets. We generate PDF order documents in the application and store them in Google Drive.

From an order to a lab workflow

An order is submitted to the Aeroblaze Rails application at orders.aeroblazelab.com. The application creates custom Asana project steps based on user input, sends team communication to Slack, generates PDF order documents and stores them in Google Drive, and sends parts and material lists to Google Sheets.
